10 Ways WWE Should Book King Of The Ring 2021

8. Build A New Stable

If booked correctly, wrestling tournaments should allow all competitors to emerge with an elevated stock. Although this doesn’t only relate to those competing in the bracketed contests. It also applies to those surrounding the victor in the aftermath.

Wrestling stables are a hot commodity, and arguably one of the most underutilized creative tools on WWE’s main roster, especially since they have routinely dropped the ball in their attempts. Take MVP’s Hurt Business for example. They were great while effectively building Bobby Lashley as a company figurehead WWE Champion, whilst also releasing Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin from jobber purgatory. However, the groups legs were cut out underneath them, being ended when WWE lost interest way too early.

For proof of how to run a faction, look no further than NXT, currently demonstrated by The Way, Legado Del Fantasma, and of course The Undisputed Era of years past.

Say WWE uses King Of The Ring 2021 to upgrade a young star like Dominik Mysterio. It would be tough to expect a rookie to prosper in upper main-event slots with such little experience under his belt. Hence surrounding him with support, which doesn’t necessarily have to include his dad, would benefit both him and those lesser-used guys brought in to assist him. Just imagine underutilized Mexican stars like Humberto Carillo, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado and Angel Garza jumping to SmackDown too defend Dominik. It could be the second coming of WCW’s Latino World Order.
