10 Ways WWE Should Have Booked Raw (Nov 16th)

3. Hey, Remember Jack Swagger?

A few weeks back, Jack Swagger made a surprise return to Raw looking a bit like a drifter who had wandered into the building by mistake. However, what was interesting about this appearance was the fact that WWE Creative appeared to actually be acknowledging the history between him and Zeb Colter rather than brushing that aside for the sake of his new partnership with Alberto Del Rio. While Swagger jobbing to Del Rio at Survivor Series wasn't the most exciting of prospects (especially as it's a match which is all too familiar to fans), it would have been a decent storyline to kill time until John Cena makes his return. Instead, it appears as if Swagger's chances of TV time dramatically decreased due to Seth Rollins' injury and this hastily thrown together WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Ideally, last night's Raw should have seen Del Rio fail to advance any further, allowing the focus to return to what appeared to be a budding rivalry with Swagger. As things stand, neither the United States or Intercontinental Championships will be defended at Survivor Series because of this tournament, and after all the work Cena put into elevating the prestige of the belt, it would have been good to see it defended on Sunday and for Swagger to hopefully wind up back on TV and regain some of his lost momentum following his disappearance after coming out on the losing end of a feud with Rusev.
