10 Ways WWE Will Respect Sting In 2015

5. Have The WWE Superstars Pay Tribute To Him

When Ric Flair retired from active competition in WWE back in 2008, it was a very fitting end to his pro wrestling career. The man that had spent so long at the top of the industry and had entertained fans all over the world finally received his day in the sun. One by one, his peers came to the ring and paid respects to him as fans stood with applause. From The Four Horsemen to John Cena to The Undertaker, WWE Superstars past and present embraced their friend and thanked him for all the sacrifices he had made to be the best in the world. The Nature Boy was in tears, humbled by the moment and thankful for the appreciation that was shown to him in the middle of the ring. This is the way that Sting should go out. Despite the fact that he has never worked in a WWE ring before and despite the fact that a great number of Superstars in Vince McMahon's locker room have not worked with him before, they should be given the chance to thank him publicly for what he's done and for the influence he's had on their careers. The moment could come at the end of Sting's run in WWE, perhaps even on the Monday Night Raw after he is inducted to the Hall of Fame. It would not interfere with his character, as there would be nothing left to gain by protecting the mystique of it. If that scenario is not feasible, then the thanks could come via taped segments of Superstars on Raw, culminating in Sting's appearance in the ring at the end to publicly thank the crowd for supporting him. Either way, The Icon deserves the recognition and the Superstars deserve the opportunity to give it to him.
