As pro wrestling fans know, wins are not everything. Even the workers themselves usually do not get too caught up in win/loss records, their focus is primarily on logical storylines that build their characters and allows them to get better, to hopefully improve their standing in the company. Sometimes however, wins are extremely important. This is especially true for a guy that is trying to gain a foothold, someone that is working his way up the ladder and means to establish himself as a top player. Sometimes, that top player is on his way to retiring and one last win is a great way for the company to say thank you. Sting is a pro, a talent that has been around for a long time. He understands how to do business and will surely be as respectful to WWE as he can be. However, his last match in a pro wrestling ring should be a win. Going out on his back would have been fine if if WCW had not closed down and he was working his last match for them. Of course, this is WWE and the best way to handle Sting's character is to allow him to go out with his arm raised in victory. It would go a long way to bringing closure on the Monday Night Wars and more importantly, it would be a great way to pay respect to Sting and the impressive legacy he's leaving behind.
