10 WCW PPV Concepts WWE Should Revive
5. Spring Stampede
With it’s cowboy theme and Wild West presentation, Spring Stampede was another WCW tradition that stood out from the pack as uniquely different to any other event of the year from the moment you tuned in.
Someone like "The Drifter" Elias Sampson would fit in perfectly here, as would the wildman antics of a Dean Ambrose. On the complete other end of the spectrum, The Miz would excel in the role of cowboy for the evening and could really push his character as the pretentious and self-aggrandising Hollywood movie star.
Similarly, any lawless badass on the roster would find a home in the Wild West theme, from the Wyatt Family to Roman Reigns; while a team like Breezango would have an absolute field day playing up their comedic roles with cowboy props.
While traditionally placed in the month of April, Spring Stampede could find a welcome home as a Network special in March as a lead in to WrestleMania. Better still, it could be used as the follow up to “The Show of Shows”, placed as the very next event after WrestleMania.
