10 WCW Stars From The '90s You Totally Don't Remember

Before we get stuck in, yes, those are fake eyebrows.

Tampa, Florida native Chris Champion (no relation to Todd) was brought to WCW in 1993 by Harley Race and cast as a villainous, stereotypically sneaky Asian heel called Yoshi Kwan. He'd feud with Cactus Jack, who'd also been at loggerheads with Race's other main charge Big Van Vader.

Hilariously, WCW couldn't seem to make their mind up on whether this 'foreign menace' was from China or Hong Kong, but it didn't matter. Kwan's run didn't last long at all. After a match with Cactus at Fall Brawl, he took some time off to heal a knee injury and never returned. That was it, that was the legend of Yoshi Kwan.

This is the kind of gimmick wrestling would never get away with now. Imagine the uproar if an American worker was given a cheap make-up job and said to be a sneaky Asian bad guy.
