10 WCW Stars That WWE Ruined

4. Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner's awesome. Forget about the babbling, botching maniac he's been over the past ten years or so. On his day, he was a hell of a worker, and he was a fantastic heel, too. It's for these reasons that fans had every reason to be excited about Scott coming back to the WWE after a decade away. During that time, he worked with a number of companies, but it was his stint in WCW that got him firmly bumped up to a main event level status. The pop Scott received when he strolled out at Survivor Series 2002 showed that people will willing to embrace the Genetic Freak.

So what went wrong? Well, despite the goodwill from fans at the time, Scott Steiner always worked better as a heel, so his placement as a face was always going to be a risky choice. Things quickly turned sour, though, when he was placed in a god-awful feud with Triple H which seemed to centre around who was, like, more buff and stuff. Bad matches, pose-offs (urgh) and weak promos saw Scott's stock plummet, until he was eventually found cocking about in the midcard with Test and Stacy Keibler. Ah well.
