10 WCW Stars That WWE Ruined
5. Booker T
Alright, we should probably get some perspective on this one: in the WWE, Booker T was part of one of the greatest segments of all time with Steve Austin in the supermarket; he formed one of the most entertaining tag teams ever with Goldust; he won the Tag Team, Intercontinental, US, WCW and, eventually, World Heavyweight Championships. He also managed to to totally reinvent himself with the vastly underrated KING BOOOOOKAAAAAAH gimmick. So to say he was "ruined" by WWE might be a bit over the top.
That said, it was arguably Booker's treatment during the Invasion angle that blared the first warning signals about how WCW's wresters were being handled. This was the guy who was being set up as WCW's main face at the time of its dissolution, and after The Rock's entertaining but, in hindsight, badly thought out promo-burying, Booker struggled to get over in WWE as a legitimate threat, and effectively became a midcard talent for years after.
Thankfully, his King Of The Ring win in 2006 drastically raised his stock, and he's become recognised as a true legend of the game since.
