10 WCW Stars Who Did WWE Gimmicks First

1. The Four Horsemen

Trying to fit every member of the Four Horsemen and Evolution into that side-by-side pic was a challenge, but it's just as well; those guys wore suits so sharp they'd cut your eyes to pieces. That's the kind of snappy banter they'd come out with in promos during their respective primes, at least.

This one is a bit unique, because Ric Flair played a starring role in both the original incarnation and WWE's rip-off version. He was the centrepiece of that Horsemen success, and he'd later transition into a new role as almost the J.J Dillon of Evolution. It was a winning formula, one WWE were happy to exploit.

Evolution described themselves as an elite group of talent who were the past, present and future of the industry. That wasn't a lie, and it wasn't one when the Horsemen crowed about being everything to all men (and women) either. The only difference is that they were the innovators.

WWE's group fittingly evolved the core idea and laid the bedrock for years to come.
