I didn't expect to see Konnan of all people on this list at all, but then it is easy to forget that he was a member of the New World Order who was likely to be shunted into matches representing the group. The former Max Moon has a long run in World Championship Wrestling, appearing in the company from 1996 all the way until the doors closed in 2001.

Konnan didn't quite make the last taping of Monday Nitro however, as his final match came the week before in a losing effort against Rick Steiner. Rick himself only just missed out on this list, wrestling in a total of 106 matches on the show,

Konnan's first match and subsequently his first Monday Nitro victory came way back in February 1996, when he put Devon Storm to the sword. This came the night after he had won the United States Championship from One Man Gang, a title he would lose a few months later to Ric Flair.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
