Scott Steiner was another tag team to singles success story in World Championship Wrestling, and going into the final episode of Monday Nitro he was the reigning. defending World Heavyweight Champion. He was pretty unrecognisable from his Steiner Brothers days at this point, and had morphed into the frankly insane Big Poppa Pump that we know and love today.

His last match on the show saw him drop the strap to Booker T however, in the opening match of the very last episode of the show. You have to go all the way back to March 1996 for Scotty's first Nitro match however, and what a dream match on paper that was.
