10 Weakest WWE Return Pops Ever

1. Brian Christopher

It's easy to forget how popular Too Cool were at the height of their power. Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty were often outshined by teams like The Hardy Boyz, but they were extremely over with the audience, particularly when teaming with Rikishi. The crowd's fondness for them dwindled in 2000, and Sexay was released the following year, but their success when feuding with groups like the McMahon-Helmsley Faction can't be denied.

Sexay returned to WWE television under his original ring name, Brian Christopher, as a one-off in 2011. He was used as part of the ongoing feud between his father, Jerry Lawler, and Michael Cole, with the latter using Brian's testimony to out 'The King' as a bad father, and Christopher's lack of reaction was frankly hilarious.

The old Too Cool music hit, and Brian strutted out onto the stage like the old Grand Master Sexay. He danced his way down the ramp, probably hoping to draw some nostalgia cheers, but was greeted by a wall of silence. The reception was so dismal that it spawned a great meme response from one Reddit user, and it remains the benchmark against which all other failed return pops should be judged.
