10 Weirdest Patriotic Moments In WWE

5. Obama Vs. Hillary (vs. Umaga)

Oh, impersonators, wasting our time and then getting run over by a Samoan bulldozer. Is anything more WWE than that?

In 2008, Vince McMahon pitted Hillary Clinton against Barack Obama in a WWE ring. After all, it was an election year, and Vince wanted to encourage the WWE Universe to "smackdown the vote," so he decided the best way to do so was to kill time on a wrestling show with annoying impersonators. And then have them decimated by Umaga.

What was even more bizarre was that the real Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (along with Republican candidate John McCain) had just appeared on RAW moments earlier in prerecorded messages to the WWE Universe!

Whereas Vince's entreaties to candidates George W. Bush and Al Gore were ignored in 2000, the three top names in the 2008 election all accepted. John McCain addressed his "McCainiacs," Hillary Clinton dubbed herself "Hill-Rod," and Barack Obama asked if they could smell what Barack was cookin'.

It was truly surreal.
