10 Weirdest Real-Life WWE Friendships

10. Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman

Not only are Heyman and Lesnar a well-polished act on-screen but they are also good friends off-screen, too. Brock Lesnar isn't exactly a people person and Heyman, while popular in some circles, has not exactly been universally liked in the past. So how did the musclehead jock and the unathletic, Jewish former wrestling promoter become such good friends? When Brock Lesnar was still working dark matches Heyman started taking an interest in him on the recommendation of Taz. Heyman, one of the best promo men in the business, made it his mission to get his client over as strong as he could. Brock appreciated that and it's hard to say whether or not Brock would have become the star he is without Heyman's guidance. But the thing that really bonds the two men together, besides the love of performing, is the fact that they're both family men. As Heyman explained to the Bleacher Report in September 2013:
"We both have, at our core, a very similar value. Our children and our families are everything to us. And it always goes back to that. Brock and I met at a time when we were both about to experience fatherhood. Here we were on an airplane to the U.K., and we really didn't know each other, and neither one of us had told anybody. We were keeping it very private."
Heyman himself has marvelled at how a "South Dakota farm boy that is a natural born predator and conqueror and a smart ass New York Jew boy who€™s the son of a personal injury attorney from the Bronx" could become best friends. But you cannot argue with the results: the Heyman/Lesnar act is one of the absolute best in the business and their real friendship probably has a lot to do with their chemistry on camera.
