9. Lita & Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus - blonde bombshell and former bikini model. Lita - flame-haired punk rocker. On the surface, these two women could not be further apart in look and lifestyle but backstage the two were great friends. Although that friendship seems to have blossomed since the two left the WWE in 2006. Trish Stratus had her retirement match with Lita at Unforgiven that year, which was apt, as the two had been linked throughout their whole careers. They started in the WWF together in 2000 and feuded almost immediately. Although their matches were, initially, pretty bad clothes-ripping affairs, the two developed a chemistry with each other over the next several years. Their match on the December 6th, 2004 Raw was the first WWE Women's Championship match to ever main event the show. Stratus inducted her friend Lita into the Hall of Fame. Speaking about her odd friendship with Lita, Trish said to Slam Wrestling that:
"It's funny, because we're total opposites in a lot of ways. On paper, you'd never think that we would hang out together. But we lived so much of our lives together on the same path -- we were in the trenches together, from the beginning all the way through the end when we both retired -- that we just stayed in touch."
The two now make appearances at conventions and signings together as part of the 'Team Bestie' tour.
