10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE 2019 Men's Royal Rumble

8. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho was many people's outside bet for last year's Royal Rumble open field, considered long overdue a win after establishing himself as the format's most successful non-winner, and re-imbued with fresh relevance thanks to his New Japan migration.

'Band commitments' - implicitly, his Japanese betrayal - precluded Jericho from heading to WrestleMania, and ergo triumphing in the 30-man melee. This year, though his schedule is far less full, his standing with the company is much murkier. Coffee cups probably hit Stamford walls after Jericho's All In cameo - but perhaps that's just part of the conceit. He's a worker through and through, and you can imagine him revelling in the commotion of pulling his woollen scarf over fans' eyes once more.

Probability: Y2-No Way.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
