10 Winners And Losers From WWE Fastlane 2018

8. Loser: Ruby Riott

Ruby Riott is SHOCKED Fastlane
WWE

Ruby Riott has proven her worth to the SmackDown women's division since arriving last November and Sunday night at Fastlane, she was rewarded with a shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship and Charlotte Flair.

She turned in a great performance, showing real personality as she worked over The Queen for the majority of the bout, punishing her in hopes of dethroning the second-generation star. Instead, she fell prey to the distraction of partners Liv Moran and Sarah Logan's ejection and ultimately tapped out to the Figure Eight.

The performance was essentially for naught, though.

As great as Riott was on Sunday, she was immediately tossed aside in favor of Asuka, who made her presence felt and announced her intentions to battle Charlotte at WrestleMania.

The sight of Riott being tended to by a doctor while The Empress of Tomorrow completely ignored her as if she was not there left this viewer sour and Riott an afterthought in the wake of the WrestleMania revelation.

It was majorly disappointing given the strength of Riott's verbal performance on the SmackDown prior to Fastlane and her showing against the champion Sunday night.
