If you wanted to place a bet on who was going to win this prize, then Jade Cargill would be the odds-on favourite. She's undefeated in AEW and one of the most protected wrestlers on the whole roster. So naturally, she's pretty much a shoo-in for becoming this belt's first holder.
It's rare for a wrestler to debut to such a prominent position before getting any tangible experience beneath them, but Cargill did that in her AEW career. She shot right into the spotlight in her first appearance, interrupting Cody Rhodes and helping to introduce Shaquille O'Neal. Since then, she's shown no signs of slowing down.
Choosing to have Cargill lose in the tournament would be a big decision, as it would be her first loss with the company. Thanks to that, it's easy to presume that she'll at least make it to the final, as going out in the early rounds would be a lacklustre way to end her streak.
She's charismatic, dominant and has management backing her up, so seeing her become the inaugural TBS Champion would not be a surprise.
