10 Worst AEW Booking Decisions

8. SCU Later

SoCal Uncensored was one of the most important tag team acts in independent wrestling throughout the past decade and Cristopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky, and Frankie Kazarian were a big part of AEW's beginnings. The team was a fitting choice to be the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, which helped establish the division as a big part of the promotion's future.

Because of this AEW should have made a bigger deal out of SCU splitting up when they faced the Young Bucks for the tag titles and lost. The team set a stipulation that the group would split after their next loss, which was a good one in theory. However, this was hardly ever mentioned on television before they suddenly got put in a losing position against the champions.

Even once they lost the match there was hardly any time to give the team a poignant moment as Dynamite kept moving at its usual blistering pace. Frankie Kazarian’s 'Elite Hunter' gimmick following the split was arguably even more egregious as it made the legend look extremely weak after losing almost immediately to Luke Gallows of the Good Brothers.
