10 Worst Booked Wrestlers Of 2017

7. Anderson & Gallows

Once centrepieces of New Japan Pro Wrestling's oft-neglected IWGP heavyweight tag division, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have been relegated to a comic relief role on WWE's midcard. Their natural chemistry and goofball charisma makes it work, and they're likely having bags of fun screwing around on national television, but they could (and should) be doing so much more.

Anderson's misuse is particularly galling. Once the star of countless puroresu barnburners against the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura, and especially Hiroshi Tanahashi (their New Beginning 2013 clash is a must see), he has become a 37-year-old sideshow. A crying shame, as Anderson has all the tools to be an immensely popular midcard star if given the right platform. Gallows' skillset is less complete, and his physical limitations are apparent, but he's a gigantic personality.

They've done little of note since, but Gallows and Anderson were Raw Tag Team Champions from January to April. Sadly, the Hardy Boyz' return, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins' reunion, and The Bar's surge to prominence have torpedoed the Good Brothers' position in the hierarchy, and they're doomed to an immediate future of WWEShop.com vignettes.
