10 Worst Booked Wrestlers Of 2017

6. Gran Metalik

A victim of WWE's longstanding issues with getting masked wrestlers over, Gran Metalik must rue the day he ever signed with the company.

He's one of the most dazzling luchadores in the word, but few WWE wrestlers, Cruiserweight or otherwise, have been used as sparingly in 2017. Absent for much of the year's first quarter, it took Metalik until April before he settled into a regular TV role. Even then, his high-flying antics were largely restricted to Main Event, and he has made it onto Raw and 205 just 13 times over the past 11 months, signifying his lowly position in the food chain.

Metalik would be a big star had WWE followed the Cruiserweight Classic's blueprint with 205. Sadly, they've taken the easy route, transforming what should've been an exciting wrestling-centric show into Raw Lite, which makes it borderline impossible for somebody like Metalik to flourish. He's a guy who could get over if the company decided to switch the division's focus back to athleticism, but there's little hope of that ever happening while the ghastly Enzo Amore is the Cruiserweights' figurehead.
