10 Worst Main Events In WrestleMania History

Bret Hart delivered one of the best matches in WrestleMania history in 1994 at the event's tenth incarnation, losing to his brother Owen in the night's opening match. The five-star classic further cemented The Hitman as the best worker in the company and the promotion's top babyface.

It would be the win in the night's main event, where he captured his second WWE Championship by defeating Yokozuna, that would confirm his status as the face of the New Generation.

Sadly, such a coronation came in a miserable match.

Hart continued to sell the knee injury suffered earlier in the show, elevating the quality just a tad, but Yokozuna had already become limited as a performer and, after wrestling a match earlier in the night himself, was even a step slower than normal. The match, nowhere near the quality of their title bout from the year before, was hardly the quality of WrestleMania main events fans have come to expect from it.

Had it not been for The Hitman's win and the storybook ending, the match would rank significantly higher on this list.
