WrestleMania 13 is a watershed show in WWE history, thanks to the epic "I Quit" match pitting "Stone Cold" Steve Austin against Bret Hart that led to the double-turn and ignited a babyface run for Austin that guided the company back to the catbird seat of the Monday Night Wars.

Unfortunately, that match was not the main event of the show.

Instead, the WWE Championship was up for grabs in the night's last match as Sycho Sid defended against The Undertaker. The Deadman had never lost at the Showcase of the Immortals, nor had he held the top prize in Vince McMahon's company since 1990. Something had to give but unfortunately, what gave was not a good match or one all that fondly remembered.

For an ungodly 21 minutes and nine seconds, the heavyweights lumbered around the squared circle, executing the most basic of wrestling offence, all the while fending off multiple attempts at interference from Bret Hart.

A slug fest unable to maintain the otherwise hot Chicago audience's attention after two straight hardcore brawls, it died a slow, plodding death up until Hart hung Sid up on the top rope, leading to a Tombstone piledriver that ended the sychotic one's transitional title reign.
