10 Worst Matches Of The Undertaker's WWE Career
4. Vs. Giant Gonzalez - WrestleMania IX
Chances are that when you saw the title of this article, you automatically pictured this one. Its reputation doesn't just preceded it, it follows it into every conversation it is ever brought up in because, it is, unquestionably, the most infamous match of The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak (y'know... before it ended).
What's so bad about it? Was it the fact that this 7-foot Phenom had to combat a giant man in a naked playsuit? No, that certainly didn't help, but it did make for an intriguingly wacky visual that only wrestling in the '90s could have provided you with. The problem lay in the action... or lack of it, to be specific.
A slow, plodding affair, Gonzalez pounded away on an Undertaker that for once we just wished would no-sell in order to increase the pace. But the Giant's gentle punches seemingly landed and thus, he dominated a glacial brawl that never lived up to the larger-than-life build WWE tried to orchestrate for this one.
It's easy to see why it was such a infamous one: Gonzalez was limited in the ring, the match was dull and it ended in a DQ. The only remotely redeeming thing about it was the fun post-match resurrection from 'Taker.
