10 Worst Mid-Match Injuries Wrestlers Fought Through
6. The Undertaker - WrestleMania XXX
Few records in the history of pro wrestling command the respect of the fabled "streak" of The Undertaker, which made it all the more shocking when it finally came to an end at the hands of Brock Lesnar.
While the match itself wasn't everything people had hoped for, the result was legitimately stunning and much of the crowd was left in disbelief. So much so, that many were oblivious to the very real injury suffered before their eyes.
After just a few minutes of action, Undertaker suffered a severe concussion, believed to have been from a single-leg takedown. As a result, Brock had to lead his opponent through the majority of the bout, with 'Taker following Lesnar's lead from the early going.
'Taker's injury coupled with Brock's physical style made for a bumpy ride and the match took a serious toll on the 'The Deadman'. So much so, that The Undertaker was said to have collapsed shortly after returning through the curtain.
Vince McMahon himself was so concerned with the well-being of his longest serving in-ring performer, that he left WrestleMania to go with 'Taker to the hospital. If that doesn't convey the severity of the injury and the respect for the man that is Mark Caloway, nothing ever will.
