10 Worst WCW Main Events Ever

1. Roddy Piper Vs. Hulk Hogan - Halloween Havoc 1997

Four of the six matches on this list went down at Halloween Havoc. Perhaps there is a good reason why WWE has never brought it back. The event is cursed!

Out of the thousands of matches that took place in 1997, there have been none worse than Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper in the main-event of Havoc. If there is, it must be deleted from existence.

Earlier that month, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker battled it out in a brilliant Hell in a Cell Match at Badd Blood. Hogan and Piper should have probably watched it, just to see what a cage match could be, and not have to resort to weak punches and back rakes for 12 minutes.

It was a complete mess that featured a fan climbing in the ring, Piper biting Hogan's butt and Randy Savage jumping off the top of the cage in an impressive spot, but then landing with a weak axe handle that barely grazed Hogan, yet he still had to sell it.

What Piper and Hogan delivered looked absolutely ancient by being on the same show as an Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. match. What they put on that night was scarier than The Exorcist, Nightmare On Elm Street, and really any other horror movie released in the past 50 years combined.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
