10 Worst WCW Main Events Ever
7. Hulk Hogan And Randy Savage Vs. The Alliance To End Hulkamania - Uncensored 96
Less than four months before the nWo was formed, WCW was in a bad place. The Dungeon of Doom vs. Hulk Hogan was the biggest thing going, and it was pretty amazingly terrible. Hogan’s red and yellow act was dying a slow and painful death before our very eyes, and The Dungeon was composed of a bunch of ridiculous goons.
They teamed up, though, with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and a few others to form The Alliance to End Hulkamania...which seems like a really specific goal. Once they did that, how were they expected to sell t-shirts? Well Hogan being Hogan, he had Randy Savage and six more of his good friends to take on the eight man team, because he's a team player and wants to make sure more people get a rub.
Actually no, that’s wrong, not sure what I was thinking there. Hogan and Savage beat eight heels BY THEMSELVES inside of a Doomsday Cage match. Oh brother.
In a ridiculous 25 minute match, Hogan and his buddy beat one of the all-time greats in Ric Flair, along with Arn Anderson and former WCW Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger with ease.
Everyone seemed confused on what to do once the bell rang. Part of the cage was supposed to be sectioned off, but it didn’t work out in reality, so they had to improvise. We witnessed heels just standing there on occasion instead of, you know, quadruple teaming the faces.
To top it all off, Savage embarrassingly almost forgot to pin Flair to win the match before leaving. The entire match probably should have just been censored.
