10 Worst WCW Main Events Ever

5. Goldberg vs. Kronik - Halloween Havoc 2000

It’s hard to wonder what WCW was thinking when they put Goldberg vs. Kronik in the main event of Halloween Havoc 2000. The match before them had Booker T vs. Scott Steiner with the World Title on the line. They delivered a DQ finish, but it at least was a pretty good match.

Goldberg and Brian Adams and Bryan Clark closed out the night instead. All three men were below average workers in the ring, so unless all three were to put on the performances of their career magically on the same night, they had no chance of even delivering something the level of “decent.”

What we witnessed was a sub-four minute match with Goldberg easily beating both men. So in one match, WCW killed the credibility of their most dominant tag team and made fans pay for the privilege to watch it.

There is no way WWE or TNA, or really any semi-competent wrestling company on Earth would deliver a match this short in this day and age and think it was an acceptable decision.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
