Credit must be given where it is due. Ron and Don Harris did exceptionally well to stay hired throughout the Monday Night Wars. What is even more impressive is that the twins actually made their professional wrestling debut in 1987. Yes, that means they were 10-year veterans by the time they turned up in WWF as Skull and 8-Ball of Disciples of Apocalypse, and they'd been active for 12 when Creative Control made their presence felt in WCW.

That is all very impressive because Ron and Don Harris were (and presumably still are) atrocious in-ring performers. Some people might remember The Blu Brothers or the DOA fondly, but those people need to go back and watch some of that stuff. 'Bad' would be too kind.

Creative Control was the bottom of this deep barrel. Ron and Don were billed as Gerald and Patrick, and yes, that was a Vince Russo dig at Vince McMahon and his fantastic stooges. For the record, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson were one of the more underrated duos of the Monday Night Wars.

Creative Control was not. The twins did have a couple of runs with the WCW World Tag Team Championship, defeating The Filthy Animals for the first and The Mamalukes for the second, but those two reigns lasted a combined 16 days. Still, beats being squashed by The Truth Commission week after week...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
