5. Thurman "Sparky" Plugg

Much like Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, Bob Holly entered the WWF to supplement the income he received from his day job, or at least that's the story that was told. Depending on the week and who was announcing, Holly was either a racecar driver or a mechanic, sometimes both, but something he never was during this period was over with the fans.

Eventually, the man would be re-dubbed Bob 'Spark Plug' Holly, but not before being handed one of the goofiest titles in wrestling history. Before using his real name, Holly was known as Thurman 'Sparky' Plugg, an obvious play on words alluding to the device which helps spark an engine into life.

Add to this name a mullet-style hairdo and a garish outfit which wouldn't have seen the man out of place on popular mid-90's UK kid TV show 'Fun House', and there was virtually no chance Thurman Plugg was going to be wrestling main events any time soon. Why hamper a solid worker with such an incredibly lame name?
