10 Worst WWE Draft Picks Ever
2. The Boogeyman
2007 - SmackDown to ECW
The 2007 WWE draft was first one to feature ECW alongside Raw and SmackDown. The extreme brand had been given two picks when it launched in 2006, but now their superstars were up for grabs too.
This was also the first time picks were determined by matches; each contest was cross brand, with the winner's show getting a randomly assigned wrestler. In all honesty, it was the start of WWE wanting to move a few big names without knowing what to do with everybody else.
Chris Benoit moved to be the new face of ECW. After taking part in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23, Bobby Lashley was promoted to Raw. The Great Khali was shifted to SmackDown, where he'd become World Heavyweight Champion later in the year.
Then there was The Boogeyman moving to ECW.
While still branded as Sci Fi, ECW's network had asked for more over the top characters who matched its target audience; that's why the first episode started with The Zombie. Boogey did have a handful of matches in the new Land of Extreme, but most of them were against other wrestlers that WWE just didn't know what to do with.
