10 Worst WWE Entrance Music Downgrades

5. Christian

One half of one of the favourite tag team of almost anybody who got into wrestling around the turn of the Millennium, Christian become majorly lost in the shuffle after his split with Edge in 2001, achieving little of note until his fortunes were revived through a partnership and eventual rivalry with Chris Jericho.

He was the beneficiary of two excellent themes around this time period. ‘At Last’ was hugely over the top with its gospel introduction but enjoyable nonetheless, whilst the original Waterproof Blonde version of ‘Just Close Your Eyes’ was a mesmeric alternative rock track. The lyrics weren’t exactly fine-tuned to his character, but the Evanescence-esque piece was one of the most impactful on the roster.

Following his three year stint in TNA (where he had another excellent theme, albeit this time being an obvious Evanescence rip-off given that it matched ‘My Last Breath’ almost note for note), Christian’s hugely underwhelming return (on the barely watched ECW with zero enthusiasm from Todd Grisham) saw him resume using his old track. This time, however, the female vocals were swapped for male ones from Story Of The Year and the melodies were made more formulaic.

Sadly, the track followed Christian around for the rest of his in-ring career, with no return ever mooted for its vastly superior predecessor.
