6. The Bar Vs. Kofi Kingston - Fastlane

Fastlane followed Elimination Chamber, at which WWE all but told us Kofi Kingston was set to challenge for Daniel Bryan's WWE Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 35.

But how to build Kofi ahead of that match?

A strong showing in a win over a heel WWE cares about, but isn't featured too prominently?

A tag team match of sorts, one structured to build anticipation for the big, Champion vs. Challenger showdown?

Or maybe a tag team pounds Kofi's dick in the dirt with no reply?

A tag team pounded Kofi's dick in the dirt with no reply in a match engineered by Mr. McMahon as part of an unnecessary subplot that came to unravel the main storyline thread. Remember, at No Way Out 1998, when 8-Ball and Skull cleanly defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in 05:11?

No?

Beyond two short bursts, the Bar mauled Kofi. The poor prick could only crumble his pancakes as Cesaro and Sheamus demolished him with uppercuts, double Boston crabs, and a Doomsday Device. It went five minutes; in minute one, the crowd chanted "Kofi!", but in minute three, they chanted "This is boring".

This didn't ruin Kofi, so it wasn't a disaster - but it was so on-the-nose and so tedious.

Look at the odds Kofi is up against! They are obstacles and wrestlers!
