10 Worst WWE Moments Of 2000

7. The Saga Of Chester McCheeserton

WWE has a rich history of trying to bring personality out in uncharismatic workers by putting them in 'odd couple' comedy tag-teams. They do it with those who have plenty of charisma too. For example, Booker T and Goldust were a match made in heaven when they were lumped together many moons ago. On the other end of the scale? Al Snow and Steve Blackman.

Listen, Al really tried his best to make skits with Steve funny, but he might as well have been sharing the screen with a cardboard cutout. The amazing thing here is that Blackman often comes across as personable and energetic during his interviews since retiring. Where was that energy when Snow was trying to get Head Cheese off the ground, mate?!

Yep, Al and Steve (sound like a pair of guys who work in IT) were collectively called Head Cheese. They even had a mascot, and it was terrible. Snow repeatedly tried to get Blackman to wear a big slice of cheese on his head, then welcomed none other than Chester McCheeserton onto the grandest stage for their match vs. Test and Albert at WrestleMania 2000.

Score another entry here for 'Mania 2000. It really was a duff year for the 'Show Of Shows'.

Young (ahem) Chester patrolled ringside dressed as cheese and creepily stared at Trish Stratus. Then, post-match, Blackman booted him like the lil' guy owed him money. That was it for McCheeserton. He was free to go back to his family in Scotland and live his life, presumably as a cheese single because Trish wouldn't give him her number.

Lord only knows what they were thinking here.
