10 Worst WWE PPV Matches Of 2020 (So Far)
2. Bray Wyatt vs. Goldberg (Super ShowDown)
Spare a thought for Bray Wyatt.
After completely re-energising his career by creating a stunning children's TV host/walking masked nightmare split personality, Wyatt's fun was dampened by WWE booking. As if the situation with Seth Rollins at HIAC late last year wasn't enough, along came Bill Goldberg at Super ShowDown.
It's no accident that the Saudi special has three entries on this list; by far the worst pay-per-view of the year so far, it also managed to make a mockery of Bray's 'Fiend' all over again by making him Goldberg's next victim. For what? So Bill could then relinquish the title to Roman Reigns (eventually Braun Strowman) at 'Mania? Wyatt could've done that in a competitive match rather than jobbing like 'Iron' Mike Sharpe here.
Less than three minutes after the first bell sounded, Goldberg mowed Wyatt down and took his Universal Title away. It says everything about the man that Bray has been able to recover some pride by plodding on and continuing his insatiable lust for creativity.
