6. Nigerian Drum Fight

Where: WrestleMania 37

Why It's Here: Mystique can be good, but it didn't work for WWE's "Nigerian Drum Fight". Nobody stopped to explain exactly what the "Drum Fight" would entail before 'Mania 37, and that left SmackDown's announcers scrambling to come up with ways to hype the violence fans could expect.

In the end, WWE stacked some djembe drums around ringside and Big E vs. Apollo Crews II turned into a standard hardcore/no DQ effort. Again, they were asked to create something special with a quite ridiculous lack of time on their side; this second scrap lasted just shy of seven mins, and that wasn't nearly enough.

The drum gimmick was a misnomer too. E and Crews barely used the djembes as weapons, and instead went to town on one another with kendo sticks. This was one of those concepts that was better on paper or inside someone's head than in execution.

Don't expect to see a WWE Nigerian Drum Fight pay-per-view any time soon.
