10 Worst WWE PPV Matches Of 2021 (So Far)
5. Bray Wyatt Vs. Randy Orton
Where: WrestleMania 37
Why It's Here: This writer is a huge fan of Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend', but only a liar would say that the character has many good matches. In fairness, that's not his main purpose (selling merch and being scary and/or compelling is). Even so, his 'Mania match with Randy Orton was...well, it was.
Christ knows why WWE decided to kick off the pay-per-view's second night with a six-minute stall fest that went heavy on "sports entertainment" tropes over proper pro wrestling. Though Wyatt, Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss tried to make the best of things, their B-movie drama didn't elicit a mega response from the live crowd in Tampa either.
That pesky red light returned, and WWE booked Bliss to turn on her 'Fiendish' pal. That'd lead to more subpar shenanigans later on (stay tuned for that). Seeing this opener once was enough - there's no reason to revisit it for another look.
