10 Worst WWE Royal Rumble Final Twos EVER
5. The Rock & The Big Show - 2000
The Rock did not win the 2000 Royal Rumble, and that started a chain reaction which lea to one of the worst WrestleManias of all time.
Going into the event, it was an open field as to who could potentially win the match. This was the year 2000, after all, and the roster was stacked with talent ready to break through that glass ceiling. It was The Rock though who was chosen to take the win and the WrestleMania main event that goes with it. In his way, however, was the Big Show, the 500lb goliath who couldn't possibly be thrown over the top rope, so WWE says with all their big boys!
Show had Rocky on his shoulder choosing a side to throw him out of, and for some reason chose to lean Rock over the ropes. Being the strong fellow he is, you'd think a press slam or something similar would be more effective. Regardless, his momentum was used against him, Rock grabbed the ropes, forced Show over and out of the ring, picking up the victory.
However, clearly shown in replays after the fact, The Rock's feet touched the ground before Big Show was anywhere close to the floor. The wrong man was named the winner and Show used that to put himself into the Mania main event, which would eventually bring in Mick Foley and every member of the McMahon family in the most jumbled storyline in years. And all stemming from this final two botch!
