10 Worst WWE Royal Rumble Winners Ever

8. Roman Reigns (2015)

Looking back on the career of Roman Reigns, it will be a given that he picked up a Royal Rumble victory (more likely two or three when he hangs up the permanently wet hair), but the timing of his 2015 triumph was all kinds of tone-deaf. In fact, it was completely regular deaf on WWE's part, as the signs were there for anyone actually watching the product that this would not end well for anyone.

The entire match was doomed as soon as Daniel Bryan - whose Yes! Movement was still outrageously over - was eliminated early on. The boos pelted down for the rest of the match, intensifying when fan favourites Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose were also thrown out.

When Reigns got rid of Big Show and Kane at the same time, even The Rock couldn't save WWE's new poster boy from the vociferous reception, especially when Rusev attempted the sneaky elimination only to be dumped out himself. That baffled look on the face of The Great One was probably reflected backstage at the time; "Why aren't they cheering? We've told them who to cheer for, WHY AREN'T THEY CHEERING?!"
