10 WrestleMania 34 Mistakes WWE Can't Repeat At 35
2. Choosing A Main Event Nobody Wants
Roman Reigns has starred in the last four 'Mania headliners, and it'll be strange for those accustomed to his mega-push to see he'll be absent in New Jersey. Those who detest his on screen character have their wish: the much-maligned Reigns will be nowhere near those fireworks or that confetti when it inevitably pops to end the night on 7 April.
Instead, he'll be replaced by Seth Rollins, or maybe WWE will be brave enough put Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey on last.
Either scenario is fine, because both at least involve babyfaces fans genuinely like. That wasn't the case last year when Roman faced Brock Lesnar, it wasn't the scene in Orlando at 'Mania 33 when he tangled with The Undertaker and it definitely wasn't true when he locked up with Triple H the year before at WrestleMania 32.
In fact, only Reigns' match with Lesnar at 31 has been forgiven, and that's mainly 'cause Rollins cashed in his MITB briefcase near the end. WWE have surely learned their lesson by now that going against fan wishes is rather silly, especially when this show is supposed to be a celebration of everything good about the company.
