1. Undertaker vs. Michaels Should Have Ended WrestleMania 25
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-HO75oytgE When you ask wrestling fans what match is the greatest in not only WrestleMania history but WWE history, a lot of people would say Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 in Houston. That's my answer. It didn't main event WrestleMania. What? It's true. The WWE Title match that saw Triple H successfully defend the WWE Title got to go on last. It confused me then. It confuses me now. The reason WWE put Triple H/Orton on last is because the WWE Title was involved. That's understandable. However, the feud was boring. Of course nobody in WWE is going to admit that. That storyline where Orton was stalking Triple H's family and that ridiculous fight in Orton's "house" was pretty silly. It didn't deserve the main event spot especially because the babyface Triple H was going into the match with the WWE Title and he left with it. Not only that, but we had seen them have so many matches over the years. It was a bad call by WWE. It should be pointed out that this is another Triple H match that should not have main evented a WrestleMania. That's not a knock on him. It's just proof that WWE pushed him too hard for too long. If they went with Undertaker vs. Michaels on last they would have made the right decision because nobody could have followed that match. It was their first singles match since 1998, which was 11 years earlier. Fans also remembered the ending of the 2007 Royal Rumble that was an epic battle between these two legends. It was also the 25th WrestleMania. Why not feature the guy that ended the night at 17-0 (that's Undertaker) and the guy with the moniker of Mr. WrestleMania (that's Michaels) because of all the great matches he had? The Michaels/Undertaker match was everything that makes wrestling special to fans of the business. I thought Undertaker broke his neck when he jumped over the top rope and landed violently on the floor. I'm not sure what others felt when they saw it, but I thought he was done. You have to admire the guy's toughness after that moment. I loved the story of the match being about Michaels' heart. He took everything Undertaker had yet he kept on fighting. He also nearly beat Undertaker multiple times and each time he didn't he sold that frustration. That's what I loved so much about this match. It was about the win. It was about who the better man was. They got it right a year later when Undertaker vs. Michaels went on last in what was the retirement match for Michaels. It's just that they should have known better at WrestleMania 25.
