2. Rock vs. Hogan Should Have Ended WrestleMania 18
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHoIm72F9Nc It's easy to say it now, right? The Rock's match with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18 in Toronto was the clear highlight of that show. It was Hogan's return to WWE after 9 years away and it was one of the most memorable matches in WWE history. It didn't main event, though. The main event of WrestleMania 18 was Chris Jericho defending the Undisputed World Title against Triple H. That's the kind of match that usually main events a WrestleMania because it was the heel champion defending against the babyface Royal Rumble winner. If WWE could go back now, they likely would have had Rock vs. Hogan on last. Hunter's comeback was a good story, but Rock is a bigger star than him. Hogan's return also should have been in the main event because the plan was to turn him heel at the end of it anyway. When you put the wrong match on last, the problem is that the fans lose their interest. They speent all their energy cheering for 20 minutes while Rock and Hogan were out there. By the time Jericho and Hunter got out there, the fans were tired. If Vince McMahon could do it again he'd likely put Rock vs. Hogan on last. In fairness to him, it was hard to know just how special that match was going to be. Nobody could tell beforehand. It just sort of happened. That's the magic of pro wrestling.
