10 WrestleMania Decisions WWE Should Regret

4. WrestleMania 22 World Title Win By Rey Mysterio In A Rushed Match

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzHVLBy2nXE This one will always bother me. Kurt Angle defended the World Heavyweight Title against Rey Mysterio (the Royal Rumble winner) and Randy Orton, who was in the match because he beat Rey at No Way Out and they had nothing else for him to do. Since it was considered a major match for the second biggest title in the company, you would think that they would get at least 15-20 minutes to have a memorable match. How much time did they actually get? 9:19. That's it. Not even ten minutes. The story goes that some of the other matches went too long. It was an 11 match card with 4 hours for everything to take place. The match right before it was Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon. That's the one that probably should have gone 10 minutes with a decisive win for Michaels, but who is going to tell McMahon to have a match less than 10 minutes if he wants? He's the boss. It's his call. The intros for the Cena/Triple H main event took nearly 10 minutes on their own. At least it felt that way. It wouldn't have been bad if Torrie/Candice was cut either because that was really boring although they are gorgeous women. What bothers me the most about Mysterio/Angle/Orton is that what they did in 9 minutes was amazing. It was such a fast paced match. If they went longer the pace would have been a bit slower, but it still would have been better and we could have been talking about one of the best WrestleMania matches ever. It was nice to see Rey Mysterio get that big moments. It's just a shame it wasn't a more memorable match.
