10 WrestleMania Decisions WWE Should Regret

3. Holding WrestleMania 2 At 3 Venues

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMIBJLaxF5A The second WrestleMania wasn't very good. People remember the first one because it was the original WrestleMania while the third one is so memorable because of the huge crowd in the Silverdome. What about the second? It's forgotten for the most part. That's probably a good thing because the format was really bad. WrestleMania 2 took place from three venues: Nassau Coliseum in New York, Rosemont Horizon in Chicago and LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles. The three biggest cities in America got to host WrestleMania. Good idea in theory? Maybe, but it wasn't very good in terms of execution. There were a whopping 12 matches at WrestleMania 2 (4 at each venue) and there were cuts after the matches aired. In other words, they would go from one match to the next rather quickly. It didn't let you really enjoy the show. Another bad thing about WrestleMania 2 is that they had guest female commentators at all the venues. It sounded as if some of them had never watched professional wrestling before probably because they hadn't. It really hurt the quality of the broadcast. The good thing is that WWE never had another PPV at three venues. It might have been considered a good idea on paper, but in terms of its execution it was poorly done.
