10 WrestleMania Results That Made Absolutely No Sense

6. Braun Strowman & Nicholas Defeat The Bar (WrestleMania 34)

10-year-old Nicholas Cone will remember WrestleMania 34 forever. Plucked from the audience as Braun Strowman's mystery tag partner, he technically "wrestled" Sheamus and Cesaro that night, becoming Raw Tag Team Champion after a four-minute flattening of one of WWE's best tag teams. He'll tell that story for the rest of his life, and good for him. He lived his dreams.

... but from a creative standpoint, this was an absolute bloody catastrophe.

WWE strapped one of their most storied belts to a literal child. This shouldn't need extrapolation. It wasn't the death of tag wrestling, but how many times have those belts legitimately felt like a big deal since 'Mania 34? Really think about it. After a while, you'll probably come to the same conclusion as your writer: zero.

This decision makes as little sense in hindsight as it did in the moment. There was no way Strowman and Nicholas could conceivably defend the belts, so they were forced to give them up the next night on Raw. Since then we've had dead acts like Bray Wyatt and Bobby Roode, the bloody B-Team, and a pointless AOP run. This is 'Mania 34's legacy.
