Give WWE credit where you can: They actually have really tried to get Seth Rollins over as a main event guy. Granted, the booking the past few months hasn't exactly been stellar and Rollins is locked in a never-ending feud with John Cena over the US title for some bizarre reason. Nevertheless, they did give Rollins some big wins but that has not translated to anything but record-low television ratings. So, it's time to go back to where they never should have left in the first place: The Shield. For three unknown guys coming out of developmental, the Shield took off much faster than anyone would have expected. Their cause of righting the injustices of the world was simple to wrap your head around and their triple powerbomb move was devastating. It got Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns over in a big way and then WWE seemed like they couldn't wait to break it up. Whether heel or face, the Shield is an effective faction because each guy is so different. No one wants to see world champion Seth Rollins, smiling babyface Roman Reigns, or TV exploding Dean Ambrose. They want to see three guys in SWAT vests who descend on their opponents like a pack of dogs on a three-legged cat and destroy them. Give the people what they want.
