10 Wrestlers AEW Has Given Up On
1. Brian Cage
Muscle mountain Brian Cage hasn't wrestled a lick for AEW since losing a 'Street Fight' to ex-Team Taz stablemate Ricky Starks on the 8 October 2021 Rampage. He'd previously been tossed out of the faction after being attacked by Powerhouse Hobbs, and went on to lose the FTW Title.
Christ knows what the future holds.
Some, like Konnan, believe it's only a matter of time before Cage signs on the dotted line for WWE. That would be one of the first AEW > WWE jumps fans have witnessed, and it could be a historic moment. Big Bri, meanwhile, has been firing out rather cryptic tweets about searching for answers.
Is this the end of his run in All Elite? Or, will AEW bring him back and try a sustained babyface run? Only time will tell, but there must be a reason why Cage hasn't been seen on TV in over three months. That's not a good sign.
