10 Wrestlers AEW Must Push In 2022
3. Jamie Hayter
This globetrotting brawler has fast proven to be a standout talent in the AEW women's division since returning last year. Almost unrecognisable compared to her brief 2019 stint in the promotion, the Southhampton star finds herself in a similar position with Dr. Britt Baker (don't forget the D.M.D.) to that of Wardlow and MJF.
As Baker's muscle, Hayter is constantly interfering in title matches and wreaking havoc. While it can be effective in building heat, the best wrestling dentist since Isaac Yankem has seen a downturn in the quality of her title matches owing to the endless shenanigans. Tensions between the pair have been teased, giving fans hope that perhaps a new angle is on the way.
If Hayter were to turn face on Britt Baker, she'd be a perfectly respectable choice to take the belt. The only problem with that is that Hayter is a natural heel with a real knack for heat-building, bullying tactics in the ring. From her gross wet willy spot to her powerful backbreaker, Hayter could become a dominant baddie this year if she starts picking up more wins.
Right now, her role as a henchwoman has left her looking at the lights a little too often. A concentrated push and maybe even some squash match wins would quickly right this wrong and get her credibility back on track for a jump up the card.
