10 Wrestlers AEW Stole From Under WWE's Nose

2. Jamie Hayter

AEW knew what they had with Jamie Hayter.

It was a difficult road to the top of the company for the (as of writing) Women's Champion, but Tony Khan presumably knew Hayter was worth the wait.

Losing - rather appropriately - to Dr Britt Baker DMD on the fourth edition of Dynamite and appearing just once more two weeks later in 2019, the same incarnation of Hayter's gimmick lost on NXT UK in April, but WWE elected not to go with her ahead of an impending Wednesday Night War.

Hayter was a terrifically entertaining presence, even if that gimmick was nowhere to be seen when she returned to screens alongside the Women's Champion in 2021. In that time, she'd kept the reps up in spite of numerous pandemic restrictions, working for Stardom and RevPro whenever shows were available. The AEW return instantly felt different though, and her time as a heater was destined to be short-lived when fans immediately gravitated to their doomed partnership.
