10 Wrestlers And Their Biggest Fears
6. Karl Anderson And Elevator Phobia
For someone with a cosmopolitan wrestling pedigree marked by years in Japan, Karl Anderson holds a fear one wouldn't typically associate with the bright lights and skyscrapers of Tokyo. The founding Bullet Club member hates riding in elevators and actually traces the origin of his phobia to his time in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Although elevators are a modern fixture and usually safe means of travelling up and down buildings, that doesn't mean they're everyone's cup of tea. The thought of the safety cables snapping and their elevator car plummeting dozens of floors to a grizzly fate is simply too much for some. And who can really blame them? For his part, Anderson's sense of dread goes into overdrive whenever an elevator's doors stagger open or the car struggles to move smoothly. The fact that his tag team partner Luke Gallows has a fondness for jumping in moving elevators probably isn't helping the matter, but who's keeping track?
And as far as fears go, Anderson's at least stuck with one that affords him ample opportunity to stay in shape by taking the stairs. Those washboard abs don't come cheap. It's just a shame he'll never know the joy of getting freaky in an elevator with his wife, à la Aerosmith. No lovin' it up while this guy's going down. Oh, well. There's always the stairs.
